  • Your product falls under Prohibited Products including:
    • animals, adult, gambling, tobacco, counterfeit, drugs, drug paraphernalia, military gears, political, misleading business products, inappropriate business products/services, weaponry)
  • Incomplete information on landing page including:
    • Contact details, name, address, Terms and conditions, Shipping policy for Ecommerce products, Privacy, Return and Refund policy
  • Contains QR codes

Ad Consistency

  • Inconsistency with ad
    • Ad shows Product A but landing page shows Product B
    • Different logo on Ad vs. logo on Product
  • Inconsistent caption

Ad Language & Targeting

  • Inconsistent local language

Ad Quality & Editorial

  • Wrong spelling
  • Excessive capitalization
  • Blurry or illegible text
  • Masked/pixelated third party watermarks
  • Low resolution
  • Under or over video duration – 5 to 60 seconds
  • Not standard video size – Vertical (9:16), Square (1:1), Horizontal (16:9) 
  • Absence of audio, or low quality audio
  • Static/still video

Prohibited Content

  • Illegal services and activity, drugs and drug paraphernalia, weapons, ammunition, explosives, tobacco products, political/military content, discriminatory content, adult and sexual content, intellectual property infringement, misleading claims and inconsistent information, sensational and shocking content, inappropriate content, excessive purchasing content
  • Data collection
    • Collection of racial, ethnic, political, religious, trade union, medical, sexual, gender, criminal, personal identification, bank information, policy numbers, digital identification, age, date of birth

Restricted Content

  • Alcohol

Edit & Submit 

If your TikTok Ads have been rejected due to non-compliance with TikTok’s policies, you may look into the details of the disapproval. Then, edit your TikTok Ads and submit them for review.

To edit your TikTok Ads:

  1. Go to your TikTok Ads Manager dashboard < Notifications and check the details of rejection. It will be shown in your Ad Group as suggestions. 
  2. Recreate or amend your TikTok Ads with the information in the received notification. Find out how to edit your TikTok Ads in this page Edit Ad Setting
  3. Remember to Save your amendments. Once saved, your TikTok Ads will be submitted for review. 

File an appeal or Get Help 

If you cannot edit your TikTok Ads or feel it was mistakenly rejected, you may request a review of the decision by clicking into the Advertiser Support.
